Push it, Baby
Holidays have come and gone and again, we're thrust into the whirlpool of assignments and group projects. Bye bye krabi, it wasn't as fantastic as Phuket no doubt but it was a good rejuvenation for me. Well yea, i'm black again and i look so dirty i could die. Songkran festival was none like i've seen before with locals on trucks splashing waters on pedesterians, policemen armed with waterguns shooting us civilians, people walking around with super-soakers and locals coming up to smear your face with powder and hey, if you get lucky, they might even give you a big kiss. Yuck, seriously, my sister and i stayed indoors most of the time during that day. Haha. The beach was surprisingly murky in colour so we ended up at the pool on day 3.
Wakeboard was alright, at least i managed to cut in and outta wake a couple of times before crashing on my face. The crash was so hard that my board flew out from under me and i could literally feel my brain shifting in my head. I swear we're cursed because twice we went, bad things happened. Like, the first time, it was raining and shane got fined by the NPA for boarding in restricted area, and the second time, the boat broke down and it rained heavily. ah well.
On a serious note, this is my last official sem in school before i head off for attachment. My GPA is fucked up and i am gonna try to pull it up this sem. It's gonna be my last and i'm gonna make it good. I can't go anywhere with this sorta grades and i do wanna further my studies. With no CCA to back me up, my only option now to to go to some shit-ass uni in aussie to study, but that's not the way i want it. First day at school and i'm already bombarded by assignments. Factsheets for print journ are due on fridays and tues, discussion of advert and IS too. Hello school.
I didn't think i would go for OIAP (overseas industry attachment program) but there are 2 openings in hawaii and i'm gonna opt for it. It would be a good exposure and it would look hell great on my portfolio. But the question is, can i get it? If i do, i'll be spending 5months there wokring for either conference management, PR or advertising. Great experience and it has always been my dream to go hawaii. Well, cross my fingers, if i'm meant to go, i'm meant to go.
That sounds way morbid.
But yea, no shit this sem.
